Method
- Spread Thousand Island dressing on both slices of rye bread.
- Layer one slice of bread with Swiss cheese, corned beef, and sauerkraut.
- Top with the remaining slice of Swiss cheese and the other slice of bread.
- Melt butter in a skillet or on a griddle over medium heat.
- Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
- Cut in half and serve immediately.
Notes
For a crispier sandwich, use clarified butter or ghee.
